National Integrity Framework

Bayside Swimming Club is committed to providing a safe, fair and inclusive environment for every swimmer, coach, official, volunteer and family involved in our club.

As an affiliated club of Swimming Victoria and Swimming Australia, we are bound by Swimming Australia’s National Integrity Framework (NIF).

The NIF applies to all activities organised, or authorised by, Swimming Australia or a Member Organisation. It is a set of rules that all members of our sport need to follow when it comes to their behaviour and conduct in swimming, including obligations to report misconduct. Those rules are contained in the following policies which can be found:

https://www.swimming.org.au/swimming-australia-integrity-hub

  • Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
  • Member Protection Policy
  • Improper Use of Drugs and Medicine Policy
  • Competition Manipulation and Sport Gambling Policy
  • Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy
  • Swimming Australia Code of Conduct

These policies apply to everyone at Bayside Swimming Club. That includes swimmers, coaches, committee members, officials, volunteers, parents and spectators.

Raising a concern

If something does not sit right, please raise it. Complaints can be made either to Sport Integrity Australia, an independent government body, or to the Swimming Australia integrity team. The type of complaint determines where it should go. https://swimaus.relyplatform.com/f/XCVR5VD?lang=en
