Triathlon
Welcome to Bayside Swimming Triathlon Program. This exciting new program caters for all levels of triathletes, Age groupers to Ironman, Beginners to Elite. The Triathlon program is based in the safety of Mentone Grammar School where a number of quality in house facilities are used to complement the training of the athletes. The school oval provides an excellent space for a significant portion of the dry land training, the school gym facilities are perfect for the wind trainer sessions and our 25 metre swimming pool provides an opportunity for the triathletes to prepare for the challenging swimming skills needed in a triathlon.
Bayside Swimming's Triathlon Program draws on the resources and expertise of the swimming club. A high standard of qualified coaching staff, excellent facilities and other professional affiliations such as massage, physio weight programs, and nutrition complement our well rounded program for the athletes. Our aim is to offer a program that addresses all aspects of triathlon and to develop our athletes so they have high competencies in all areas of the triathlon skill set. This is an education process that is achieved through thorough planning, dedication and surrounding the athlete with like minded people.

Swimming
Swim session held at Bayside Aquatics Mentone. An assessment will be needed and the squad you swim with will be determined by your goals and fitness levels.
Riding
There are a number of ways to improve your bike skills and fitness:
- Wind Trainer Sessions are conducted at Mentone Grammar School Gym. Wind trainer sessions are designed to improve your pedal technique and fitness.
- If you want to learn to ride a bike fast then you must learn how to ride slowly as well. Bike Skills sessions are conducted in the car park of Bayside Aquatics Pool.
- Once the coaching staff feel your riding skills are up to scratch the next area of development is Bunch or Group riding. Once again, depending on fitness levels and experience, different group rides with varying skill and focus areas will be organised. These rides will teach you the necessary communication skills needed to ride safely in a bunch as well as improving your fitness.
Running
At the moment 3 running sessions are available. Once again technique is as important as running fitness.
