Hi All,
What a great morning you all had. Stand out performances by Marcel and James EM both 3rd in there respective age groups and Marcel 4th overall. Fantastic run improvements by Ben 17.25 and 7th in has category, Julian 18.45 and 9th in category. Marcel and Ben aside, strong rides by James EM and Bryn 13th set up good results for the both of them. A good even paced race also saw James B finish 17th and Alex 31st. Great swims got Georgia and Steph (1 and 2) off to good start in there first full sprint distance race to finish 5th and 7th. I thought you all competed very well today, firstly stepping up to the sprint distance and also showed how much you all have improved you running over the winter. Now that summer is upon us some consistent riding will see you all go even faster again on the bike and run. Over the next week I will be having a little chat 1 on 1 with each of you about individual aspects of you training.(for even more improvement). Great to see you all in you new race kits and wetsuits.
I also would like to encourage you to race as much as you possibly can as this will take you understand of what you can actually achieve to a much greater level. Xocise and Gatorade!!!
I would like to propose that well all make the Gatorade race at Portarlington our road trip for the summer. Its on February 6th. This is the 25th year for this race and it's a great location out of the city. Enter early as this race sells out.
Next year Noosa is now a Ballet entry and I would encourage you all the enter the ballot and then we can look at a trip up there next year. Biggest race in the southern hemisphere. Great week. Just ask Ben.
If you don't have a red Bayside top please see Nic to arrange one.
Thanks to Andrew for setting up and taking back the tent. thank you to Hampton cycles for the bike rack.
